Mergers & Acquisitions Application Strengthens Process

OAK BROOK, IL, January 11, 2012 Interactive Business Systems, Inc. (IBS) has developed and launched a Microsoft SharePoint-based Mergers and Acquisitions application for a multi-billion-dollar life insurance company based in Lansing, Michigan. This application replaces an old Lotus Notes application that had become cumbersome, unintuitive and inefficient at helping manage Mergers and Acquisitions. It needed to be replaced.

The company now has an intuitive application guiding the management of multiple acquisitions: prompting next steps, task status at the individual and group levels, access to associated documents, electronic confidentiality agreement compliance, security at all levels, and a clear break between due diligence/acquisition and merger activities and documents. This new application went live in November and was created offsite by IBS developers at its facilities in Livonia, Michigan.
