The client is a specialty pharmaceutical company that markets and sells brand-name prescription products in the cardiology and women's health sectors.
Business Challenge
The goal of the project was to develop, test and document an actionable disaster recovery plan for the mission critical information services and applications to keep the business up and running. The plan included:
- General business applications such as email, File Servers, Payroll, EDI, and the Microsoft Networking environment.
- ERP system which included Order Entry, Inventory, Shipping, Invoicing, Cash Disbursements, Cash Receipts, Pricing, Discounting and Financial Statements.
- A Deduction Management System for processing client discounts and rebates.
This project was not attempted internally by the client due to a lack of time, resources, and the number of concurrent internal projects. IBS was selected as the project vendor for this initiatives based on our ability to rapidly demonstrate an understanding of the business and technology challenges and formulate logical and relevant solutions. A flexible delivery model significantly contributed to reducing the cost of the project while delivering on time and within budget.
