Business Challenge
A statewide retailer of Caterpillar equipment, parts, service and rentals currently uses an Exchange 5.5 platform to supply email services to 550 users. The organization needed to migrate to the latest version, Exchange 2003, to reduce the maintenance and cost of its internal email services.
IBS Services
IBS performed an assessment to establish the context of the project and its requirements. The next step was to define the upgrade migration plan and design all specifications in detail. Phase 3 was the infrastructure configuration. Architecture was implemented where email services are provided internal to the organization. Phase 4 was the server configuration. IBS installed and configured an Exchange 2003 server, printing services, back-up services and anti-virus. Phase 5 was the technical turnover of knowledge to maintain the environment.
Client Benefits
A migration to Exchange 2003 resulted in lower costs and easier maintenance of internal email services. |
