Business Challenge
A manufacturer and distributor of electronic components and telecom testing equipment had aging legacy systems throughout their operations in France, Germany and the UK. After a thorough assessment of the company’s business practices and systems throughout Europe, and an analysis of past and future growth, the organization’s IT strategy team, together with IBS, determined that a full SAP implementation was needed.
IBS Solution
Based on the client’s business model and mode of operations, IBS developed a rapid implementation plan to ensure the successful delivery and launch of the system without interruption to critical business operations. The implementation began with the UK operations, which would serve as a model for the remaining operations. Working closely with the client team, IBS was able to implement the Financial Accounting, Sales and Distribution and Materials Management modules under the estimated time and with no business disruptions. The entire project covering all three operations was completed in just nine months.

The successful SAP implementation has reduced the firm’s system operating costs, reduced inventories, improved customer service levels, provided increased information and reporting for management and improved decision making. IBS continues to provide system support, help desk support and training.
