Business Challenge
To meet customer requirements, this Tier 1 supplier needed to integrate all of its business processes, encompassing EDI capabilities, order management, and back office operations. Another concern was that the new systems maintained compliance with the supplier's ISO 9000 certification.

Originally, IBS was selected to develop a Web site offering business-to-business capabilities, but an effective solution required an ERP back-bone. The client had ERP software but had never installed it. With only one IT employee on staff, the supplier relied on IBS for complete project management of the ERP implementation.The IBS team completed the implementation in 3 months, far short of the 12-18 months anticipated by the client. By integrating and automating all of the business processes, the supplier gained capabilities to decrease production time, reduce production costs, and improve delivery timeliness. The solution also provided an efficient way to track standard costs and actual costs, which was not feasible prior to the implementation. In addition to the ERP implementation, IBS provides functional and technical expertise and support from a network, system, and operational perspective.
