Network Administrator


A Network Systems Administrator is responsible for the configuration, upkeep and reliable operation of computer systems, particularly servers. Duties vary widely from company to company, along with knowledge of the specific platforms and hardware in use.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive monitoring of all servers, applications and services to ensure high levels of availability and service levels
  • Server installation, maintenance, upgrade and general support
  • Perform regular and on-demand system backups and recoveries
  • Assist in developing, implementing, testing and maintaining server level disaster recovery plans
  • Troubleshoot networks, intranet and intranet connectivity throughout the organization
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Systems Administration
  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience with hardware and networking
  • Strong technical understanding of WAN/LAN networking and server systems
  • Expertise in VMWare, storage management, firewalls, IPS, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange, and servers
  • Exposure to PBX, VoIP, and contact center systems
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team
