Programmer Analyst


Programmer Analysts design, develop, test and maintain software solutions and databases. The Programmer Analyst identifies requirements and develops software systems. Typical responsibilities and skills required for this position include:

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and understand business requirements
  • Create unit tests
  • Meet software requirements by developing software systems using both new code and updating existing code.
  • Encode project requirements
  • Conduct unit testing and modify code as needed
  • Develop and maintain user documentation
  • Develop and maintain computer systems policies and procedures
  • Fix issues reported during QA process
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or 4 years relevant experience
  • 3+ years programming and working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle and Change Management tools
  • Analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify requirements
  • Software design, testing and development
  • Ability to create software documentation
  • In-depth knowledge of the necessary platforms/frameworks/languages

Most in-demand languages: C#.Net, Java (J2EE), ASP.Net, PHP and/or VB.Net

Most common skills requested: Object Oriented programming, MVC, Source Control, SOA, SQL, JSP (Java)
