Benefits Express (BE) is a health benefits administration firm that provides client companies with the tools and services necessary to simplify their benefits and administration processes. They also take on full administration of benefits services for their customers such as dental plans, medical plans, medical spending accounts, and supplemental life insurance.
As mobile technology continues to expand, the need to offer customers with an integrated mobile experience is more important than ever. BE wanted a mobile application that would put a number of tools at their customer’s fingertips, but due to rapid expansion, did not have the time or the expertise required to create such an application. They turned to Interactive Business Systems (IBS) to provide this expertise.
IBS did markups and workflow for a mobile hybrid application. The application was then completed by IBS’ Microsoft-certified development group in Livonia, Michigan. The client’s COO was involved directly, to ensure the app worked the way they needed it to. Meetings and demos were conducted remotely via teleconference.
A high level Microsoft consultant working with BE was impressed with IBS’ expertise, which increased the client’s confidence in IBS’ offerings.
Benefits Express now has access to an intuitive mobile hybrid application with a logical workflow that provides users with detailed information about their benefits based on their plans. For example, members can view up-to-date balance information about their flexible spending account, and view copay information for their medical plans.
By using IBS’ Microsoft-certified development group working remotely, the client was able to focus resources on other ongoing projects crucial to the company’s rapid growth. The remote nature of the project also saved the time and money required to put a team together onsite.
